Our doonas come in five Australian sizes: Single (140cm x 210cm), Double (180cm x 210cm), Queen (210cm x 210cm), King (245cm x 210cm), and Super King (270cm x 240cm). We recommend sizing up for a more luxurious drape over the sides of the bed and eliminates doona tug of wars!
-
Our Light weight is perfect for warm sleepers or summer months. Our Warm weight has more down fill for extra insulation - ideal for cool sleepers or winter. Both use the same 800 fill power duck down and OEKO-TEX 400 thread count certified cotton sateen shell.
-
Puff uses 95% duck down (the legal maximum) compared to the industry standard of 80–90%. Our cotton sateen shell is OEKO-TEX certified, our down is RDS (Responsible Down Standard) certified ethical, and our Puff Baffle System prevents cold spots by keeping the down evenly distributed.
-
Doonas can be returned within 7 days of delivery for a full refund, or within 14 days of purchase for an exchange or store credit. Items must be in original packaging. If your doona has a manufacturing fault such as stitching issues or uneven filling, we'll replace or refund it regardless of timeframe. Contact us hi@pufflife.com.au and we'll sort it all out.

The Puff Baffle System is our proprietary baffle box construction that creates individual down-filled compartments across the entire doona.
-
Yes! When you first unwrap your Puff, give it a good shake to wake up the down and let it fluff to perfection. Down compresses during packaging and transit, so a thorough shake will allow the down to fully re-inflate to its natural loft. The more you use it, the cosier it gets!
-
Spot clean with a clean, warm white cloth using gentle dabbing motions rather than rubbing. Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, and whitening detergents. For larger or stubborn stains, we recommend washing or a professional launderer. Read full care guide.
-
With proper care, a premium duck down doona can last 10–15 years or more. We recommend airing your doona in sunshine or fresh air for about 20 minutes during sheet changes to maintain loft and freshness, and washing or professionally laundering once per year. Store in your Puffle between seasons - never in plastic. Read full care guide
-
Our Light weight is ideal for warmer months and hot sleepers, while our Warm weight provides extra insulation for winter and cool sleepers. Many customers own both weights for true all-season comfort, swapping them out as the seasons change.
-
High-quality, properly processed duck down like ours is thoroughly washed and sanitised during manufacturing. The tight weave of our OEKO-TEX certified cotton sateen shell also acts as a natural barrier against dust mites, making Puff doonas suitable for most allergy sufferers.
-
Yes. Down is naturally temperature-regulating, meaning it breathes and wicks moisture away from your body. Our Light weight doona is specifically designed for warm sleepers and Australian summers, providing comfort without overheating.
-
Duck down naturally regulates temperature, wicks moisture, and lasts significantly longer than synthetic polyester fills. An 800 fill power down doona like Puff is lighter, breathes better, and stays loftier for years compared to synthetic alternatives, making it a better long-term investment.
-
OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification means our cotton sateen shell has been independently tested and verified free from harmful substances. It's safe for direct skin contact, including for babies and children.
-
Yes. All Puff down is Responsible Down Standard (RDS) certified. This means our down is traced from farm to finished product, with strict animal welfare standards verified at every stage of the supply chain.
-
Fill power measures how much space one ounce of down occupies - the higher the number, the better the quality. Our 800 fill power duck down means maximum loft and warmth with minimal weight. Higher fill power = lighter, warmer, puffier doona. Read full details HERE
-
Use warm water (maximum 40°C) with mild detergent on a medium spin cycle. Place the doona loosely in the machine without tangling. Single and Double sizes can be machine washed at home. Queen and larger sizes should be professionally laundered as they may not fit standard machines. We recommend washing or professionally laundering once per year. Never dry clean, and avoid bleach, fabric softeners, and whitening detergents. Visit our Care & Storage page for the full guide.
-
Shake the wet doona thoroughly before placing it in the dryer. Select a long, warm-hot cycle to ensure complete drying - this is critical to prevent mould. Then add a clean tennis ball or dryer ball and run on hot for an additional 10 minutes to restore full loft. Refer to the Ultimate Puff Guide for full details.
-
Store your doona in the complimentary Puffle (Puff Duffle), the breathable cotton canvas bag included free with every doona. Never use plastic storage, as down needs air circulation to stay fresh and lofty. Replacement Puffles are available for purchase if needed.
-
The Puffle (Puff Duffle) is a reusable cotton canvas bag included free with every doona. It's designed for doona storage but doubles as a beach bag, shopping tote, or travel companion. Because it's made from breathable cotton canvas, it's the ideal way to store your down doona.
